The moral values of the samurai were engraved in Ketsuchi as soon as he was introduced to a blade. he had been expected to follow a code of honor; Bushidō (武士道, "The way of warriors.") he lived by eight virtues: Rectitude, Courage, Benevolence, Politeness, Sincerity, Honor, Loyalty, and Self-control. While portions of the code have since been core traits of her personality, some have been convoluted to align with her own personal goals in recent years. Abandoning the old code. he believes that every one of her actions, no matter what, will always be morally justifiable for what he believes in. No matter how cruel. He'll rarely display penitence. The righteousness of a code she once followed, twisted.

He has impenetrable self control and emotional fortitude; always calm. Forcing Ketsuchi into any other emotional state is a challenge of its own. Never is there enjoyment in inflicting pain upon others, and Ketsuchi operates on a clear state of mind.

While somewhat aloof, he's never disinclined to form relationships. Undeniably wise as well, thick skinned, and resilient. Traits picked up from her time being groomed under the watchful eye of Samurai. He's not exactly reticent, but speaks only when necessary and extremely polite generally.

- They fled Iron country and traveled to the Land of Lightning.

- Refugees, and inexperienced parents, the young couple battled the country's dangerous terrain. Avoiding any pursuers as well.

- Somewhere along their perilous journey, the couple found a small village.

- They agreed to leave the child with a family, rather than risking its life any further.

- Left on the doorstep of a small home, baby Ketsuchi cried aloud.

- A family of clansmen, descendants of the Ieyasu, couldn't refuse housing the child.

- Ketsuchi was groomed under a household of Ex-Samurai.

- A blade had been gifted to the boy as soon he could walk, and trained for years on end to perfect her technique. Later sending him off to Kumogakure to learn ninjutsu.
