Jutsu - Kenjutsu:
- D-Rank:
Jutsu Name: Itto - Lion Killing Crow Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: This a simple, if somewhat unusual attack, due to its method of execution. Rather than being drawn from the waist in a standard grip, the sheathed weapon is held beside the user's head in a reverse grip. It is then drawn from the sheathe, brought down upon an opponent in an overhead attack, then resheathed at the user's waist, this entire process seemingly being performed in an instant. This technique is performed at blinding speeds, with those without the proper perception not even being capable of detecting the movement of the blade. The speed makes it so that those struck aren't even capable of noticing the wound left behind, unless they possess a heightened sense of touch or sensitivity to pain, the wound blossoming open several minutes later (or after strenuous movement) in a gout of blood.
Jutsu Name: Nito - Rising Crow Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: Swinging their blades in a powerful upwards strike, the user is capable of sending out two projectiles skyward to attack an aerial opponent. Those suspended in the air have a difficult time avoiding this technique if they are incapable of controlling their movement in the air, making it an exemplary technique for assailing opponents who have been launched by an ally or an attack of the user's own. This technique can also be used on targets on the ground, though the slashes will always rise upwards thus necessitating the user aiming it accordingly.
Jutsu Name: Santo - Savage Crow Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: While rather basic, this is the signature technique of the style and one of Kurai's most used techniques because of its qualities as a quick finisher. They place two swords in a cross formation across their chest and then places the blade in their mouth horizontally behind them. They then rush at t heir opponent and executes a simultaneous three-way cut with the weapons, resulting in a descending diagonal-crossing slash from both swords while the mouth blade performs a horizontal cut from either the left or right, depending on which side of their mouth they positioned the sword's main blade at. This attack is powerful, resulting in three separate wounds as well as allowing one to break through an opponent's guard, however it has one glaring weakness. The blades line up for a single moment during the swing, enabling the entire attack to be halted with a single parry if they are capable of aiming it correctly.
- C-Rank:
Jutsu Name: Kyokujitsu Kajin-ryu (lit. Rising Sun Fire God Style) Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: This is a fighting style unique to Kurai, as it was developed by them through strenuous training. This style utilizes katana to engage in sword-based combat, however the standout feature of the style is that it exemplifies the use of multiple katana over a single one blade, allowing the user to overwhelm their opponents with a barrage of strikes. The approach of the user when attacking an opponent is wholly dependent on the number of blades they are using at the time: Itto (lit. "One Blade") - The form of the style that puts emphasis on the draw of the blade, often executing attacks before swiftly returning the weapon to the sheath for the next. As implied by the name, it uses a single blade in one of the user's hands. Nito (lit. "Two Blades") - This form of the style puts emphasis on momentum and speed, executing attacks in twirls and sweeping gestures with their blades already drawn and laid bare. As implied by the name, it uses two blades in either of the user's hands. Santo (lit. "Three Blades") - This form of the style puts emphasis on a balance between force of draw and the power of momentum, with the user performing wild techniques with their weapons that are capable of dwarfing either of the other stances of the style in power. As the name implies this stance uses three blades: one in either hand and then a third clenched firmly within the user's teeth, cutting edge away from their body.
Jutsu Name: Itto - Disaster Bringing Crow Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: This technique follows in the example of the Rising Crow Technique, being projectile-based despite the use of a sword in the execution of the technique. The user raises their sword horizontally above the shoulder of their sword arm before bringing the blade down at blinding speed. This movement sends forward a crescent moon shaped air-blade at the user's target, allowing them to cut through individuals, objects, structures and even Jutsu as it travels. With more expertise, the user is even capable of unleashing multiple slashes with a single technique, allowing them to target multiple individuals
Jutsu Name: Nito - Descending Crow Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: This is much like the technique "Rising Crow" though instead of aiming an attack upwards, it is aimed downwards whether the user is using it when they are suspended in mid-air themselves or if they are on solid ground. It is a powerful downwards slash with both blades that sends two vacuums of air in the direction of the blow, though it differs from the original due to the added effect of being able to slice through earth, water or other surfaces to deal their damage to targets attempting to conceal themselves within.
Jutsu Name: Santo - Crow Demon Jutsu Type: Kenjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: C Jutsu Description: This is a powerful anti-projectile technique formulated for this fighting style. Kurai performs several slashes at high speeds, aimed at projectiles coming towards them. The slashes performed with this technique are capable of rerouting projectiles aimed at the user when they come into contact with their blade, keeping them safe from harm while also rendering the projectiles useless. The speed of this technique is so great that the user is capable of cleaving clean through regular projectiles, so long as the durability of their blade is equal to or greater than the projectile, while those that they aren't capable of cleaving through are reflected back at their point of origin (Strength greater than Projectile Speed), deflected (Strength equal to Projectile Speed) or just stopped in their tracks to fall through the ground (Strength lower than Projectile Speed). This technique can also be used on jutsu based projectile techniques, producing the cleaving effect if intangible (i.e. Water Bullet or Fireball) or the deflection effect if tangible (i.e. Rock Bullet or Ten Finger Drilling Bullets). This technique doesn't negate the secondary effects of projectiles (i.e. explosions etc).
- Ninjutsu:
- E-Rank:
Jutsu Name: Body Replacement Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: E Jutsu Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Despite it being basic ninjutsu taught at the Academy, it is seen as a useful art that can be applied in a variety of situations as it allows for a swift getaway from danger. The technique even allows a restrained shinobi to escape capture. This technique can only be used 4 times per thread.
Jutsu Name: Tree/Wall Climb Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: E Jutsu Description: Tree Climbing Practice is a training method used to gain more skills with chakra control. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet and using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the tree, causing the tree to break around the point of contact and the user will fall. The concept of this exercise is similar to magnetics. This is evidenced when a user was able to attract a kunai thrown his direction to his feet and then throw it at an enemy by kicking the kunai while releasing his chakra's hold on the kunai.
Jutsu Name: Water Walking Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: E Jutsu Description:This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. It has also been shown that one can use their chakra to "skate" across the water surface, like an ice skater, instead of just walking or running. And, as noted by some, the more one trains this technique the more they reach a state where they stand on water without even noticing it or basically even trying. It doesn't have to just be at the feet. A user under water can focus chakra on their hands or any other body part that makes contact with the surface of the water. If they were submerged, they can climb atop the water as if they were climbing out of a pool.
Jutsu Name: Transformation Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: E Jutsu Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus, the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is not always successful.
- D-Rank:
Jutsu Name: Body Flicker Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: None Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: By using the Body Flicker Technique, a ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. Other elements or substances can be used instead to distract the opponent. Fire Release- D-Rank:
Jutsu Name: Fire Release: Body Replacement Technique Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: Fire Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: This technique is much like its parent, wherein the user switches places with an object or individual of their choice in order to evade an attack, escape captivity or even set a trap for an unwitting opponent. However it advances on the original in that it applies the user's Nature Transformation, creating a burst of flame in a small radius either at the point where they disappeared or the point where they reappear. This allows the user to damage an assailant, or reposition to catch a target off-guard with an ambush. Despite the enhanced power of the technique, it shares its 4 use limit in a topic.
Jutsu Name: Fire Release: Kiln Flame Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu Jutsu Element: Fire Jutsu Rank: D Jutsu Description: This technique revolves around the user spitting out a jet of flames that is designed to heat things up and catch them ablaze. This technique deals minimal damage, but still catches things alight and deals recurrent burn damage to them. This technique can also be used on objects to heat them, causing those who touch them intense pain from the burn, additionally the user can use it to light their own weapons and transfer the burning/combustion affect to whatever they strike without fear of damage.
