Kekkai Genkai Description: The Ocean Release is an upgraded version of the Water Release which uses the denser saltwater in it’s jutsu versus the normal freshwater of the water release. Being saltwater, attacks from this jutsu carry more battering damage and also conduct Lightning Release techniques far more effectively. For balancing purposes, any character that uses this clan must take water release a second time at 3-3.

Jutsu Name: Clean Wave
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Jutsu Rank: C
Jutsu Description: The user calls forth a clean wave, bro. Manifesting underneath their surfboard, this wave is 5 feet high and 10 feet wide at the base. While it travels forward to continuously the user is able to use their board in conjunction with their chakra to steer the wave where they want.

Jutsu Name: Great White Wave
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Jutsu Rank: B
Jutsu Description: The user manipulates the wave around them into a massive shark’s head while steering it from inside the mouth. While it lacks the homing utility of it’s cousin jutsu Five Feeding Sharks, it more than makes up for it in equally comparable explosive power.

Jutsu Name: Flying Fish Salvo
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Jutsu Rank: B
Jutsu Description: The user drags their hand through moving water water while releasing chakra into it. From the water will fire twenty small flying fish made of saltwater to hammer into the opponent in the direction the user chooses.

Jutsu Name: Ocean’s Wrathful Howling

Jutsu Description: The user summons a massive tsunami-class wave that’s 50 feet high and 50 feet wide which barrels down and slams onto their opponent. Enough said.

Jutsu Name: Roar of the Sea Dragon King
Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu
Jutsu Rank: A
Jutsu Description: The user creates a massive amount of water chakra and spins it around a central point while making rise until it’s 100 feet high and about 20 feet wide. This waterspout lasts about 2 turns before dissipating, meanwhile the user can control and direct it at will.

Clan History

History: As far as history goes, the Umi clan is pretty unremarkable compared to many of the other clans in the Land of Water. Originally having settled on a small island in the Land of Water archipelago the Umi clan spent their days fishing and surfing. There, they unknowingly devised a special way to use Water Walking and Tree Walking Simultaneously, granting them complete mastery over board and wave. Their deep dies with the ocean soon began to manifest as a Kekkei Genkai through years of mixing with various other peoples and clans who came to their island for vacation or attempted conquest.

While many tried to conquer the Umi, they quickly realized the sheer futility of such an idea. For one, the Umi clansmen were incredibly free-spirited and nearly to the point of madness. Secondly, they were quite adapted to life on their island which while it was a surfer’s paradise was also incredibly hostile to anyone not accustomed to it’s quirks. Finally, the cost incurred to capture a small island with few to no valuable resources meant that this island would trade hands in name between clans for generations before the Seven Clan Summit granted them full rights to their island as a token for their submission to the Summit’s will.

Now, many of the older members of the Umi clan are at odds with the Mizukage as her new policies have stripped their island from them once again. However, this time Suzume intends to make good use of her ownership of their land and sea rights to fish and generate food for Kirigakure.
