[Private] A Routine Physical Empty [Private] A Routine Physical

Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:30 pm
The medical practice looked to be having a quiet day when Jitsuko arrived and to be honest that suited her perfectly, she was tired after her mission. Sitting in the waiting area, she restlessly rolled her shoulder, she had dislocated it during her mission and it just hadn't set right, while she was far from afraid to make do, making sure she was at her best never hurt.

After being called through, Jitsuko untied her cloak and allowed it to drop, she stood silently as she gauged the man in front of her. He was tall, over half a foot taller than her, and despite his rather milquetoast appearance she could tell by how he carried himself that he had an impressive physique.

"I'm Fujimura, here about my shoulder." She spoke coldly and calmly as she continued to study the Doctor before her.

Hatsu had been reading a book when the lady had came in. She introduced herself and told him about why she was there. Simple enough. He'd place the book down and stared intently at her shoulder for a moment. He had no confusion about how to fix this but had more questions overall. Questions that weren't answerable by most. The following weren't those questions.

"Fujimura, your shoulder is dislocated. I will simply set it, but is there anything else you wish to have done? Any checkups or anything like such?" Hatsu would say, entirely in doctor mode. "Secondly, is this your entire injury? Be fully honest with me. Nothing leaves this room."

Of course, he couldn't see anything in particular. The only noticeable outside injury was the shoulder.  However, for someone to be so non-plussed about such a shoulder injury baffled Hatsu. Did everyone under the employment of the Earth Country just...not have a care about their bodies? Between Roku, and some of the others Hatsu had seen, he really couldn't depend on these people to actually care about their bodies.

Rolling her Shoulder to check full motion had been restored, Jitsuko picked her cloak back up and tied it round her shoulders and then turned to face the doctor once more.
"I have no other injuries that I am incapable of tending to myself," Her tone was quite flat and matter of fact but that quickly changed to a more questioning tone, "Forgive my questioning, but you appear to be in excellent physical condition yourself. Have you considered joining the Empire's forces? A capable physician with basic training would be an asset our nation." Her eyes locked on to the doctor watching his every move as she waited for his response.

Hatsu would frown as she'd mention joining the empires forces. It wasn't exactly a terrible idea. Hatsu would simply rub his chin before starting to speak.

"I have only killed a single person in my life, and I admittedly somewhat regret it. I am a doctor and a healer. I joined this empire for a job; not to be a nationalist." Hatsu would say, and then sigh before continuing. "Before you ask, I understand why someone could, and likely would, be willing to align with a nation. I just don't think I should. What's the point? I do the same job now without nearly the risks to my life."

Hatsu tried to be a clear-minded individual, but his vision of the situation had bias due to his relationship with Roku. Insofar as he could see, those who were in power and those who worked under them, never ended well.

Hatsu would adjust his robe, making sure it was on right.

The doctor's flippant response struck an nerve, while she tried to stifle her irritated tone it bled through ever so slightly, "The point, doctor, is to help those both within and out with the empire. Joining with this nation's forces not only mean you continue with the work you do now, but also give you the opportunity to help bring order and stability to the world as a whole, I would hope someone in your profession could understand that much." Despite maintaining her stony neutral expression Jitsuko's eyes were now burrowing holes in the doctor before her.

Hatsu's frown grew deeper as the lecture from Jitsuko came out. He understood those concepts, but didn't quite understand why he had to align with the nation itself. Couldn't he just be an ignorant third-party and manage to stay innocent?

"I get that. I'm perhaps naive, but how could we bring order? Not to say anything of our strength, because frankly I'm unsure of our countries total strength..." It's at this point where Hatsu would take a deep breath, making sure to sort his thoughts out in the meanwhile. "Helping people, however, is something completely subjective and I can have no faith your help doesn't mean murder. I've seen ninja. My parents were ninja. Is your 'help' just murdering them? If so, I can hardly join up."

Hatsu had some thoughts, mainly related to those who worked with him for a time. Most of them had...either gone off on a big mission or various other things. However, that Bane fellow had left a terrible taste in his mouth. Insofar as Hatsu was concerned, if the head honcho was anything like Bane, they were doomed.
